Winter Weather Advisory

Winter

We are expecting hazardous winter weather to move into Obetz this week. While the weather models are not always accurate, we expect rainfall on Thursday night that will quickly lead to slick conditions Friday morning. Strong winds with gusts above 40 MPH are expected early Friday morning through Saturday.

As temperatures continue to drop and snowfall begins, please use caution and slow down while driving. Wind chills could drop to -10 degrees and remain dangerously cold out through the weekend. Stay indoors if possible, and visit weather.gov for cold weather safety tips.

The City crews are prepared and will be out in force to address the winter weather. Please do what you can to prepare for the storm including moving your cars and other obstructions (trash cans, basketball hoops, etc.) from the streets to allow the plows to get full access to the roadways.
