Four deserving youngsters were sworn into office as Junior Fire Chief, Police Chief, Ohio Patrol Colonel and Union County Sherriff during Operation Santa’s Sleigh held at Columbus State University.

Now in its fourth year, Operation Santa’s Sleigh assembles a massive caravan of public safety and law enforcement vehicles to parade around Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Veterans Hospitals and two state Veterans’ homes to lift the spirits of those hospitalized during the holiday season.

The 2022 Columbus Division of Fire Junior Chief is Luke Hageman who is 8 years old. He is the son of Tara and Jack Hageman, who is a Captain for the Columbus Division of Fire. Luke attends Wilder Elementary School and loves animals and swimming. Luke is an avid wrestler and currently competes for the Westerville United Wrestling Club. 

Luke as has been in remission of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since May of 2022, and received all his care from Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Luke received his badge from Columbus Fire Chief Jeffrey Happ.

The 2022 Columbus Division of Police Junior Chief is Addisyn Renz, who received her badge from CPD Assistant Chief LaShanna Potts. The 2022 Junior Sheriff is Ali LeMasters, who received her badge from Union County Sherriff Jamie Patton. The 2022 Junior Colonel of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is Gabriel Rosvanis, who received his badge from OSHP Colonel Charles Jones.
