City of Columbus - City Hall issued the following announcement on January 24.
Columbus, we’re taking a fresh look at how we incentivize the creation of affordable housing units in 2022 and beyond. The Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) residential tax abatement policy is a tool the city can use to encourage the private sector to create housing units for families earning $47,000 a year or less, who would otherwise be priced out of a neighborhood of their choice. Join us on January 27 at 5:30 pm, for a virtual discussion on proposed policy changes to create more affordable housing units in our city.
