Hiring: Assistant Golf Professional

City of Groveport issued the following announcement on January 19.

The City of Groveport is currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Golf Professional. The Groveport Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course owned and operated by the City of Groveport.

This position will operate the pro shop, schedule leagues/outings/tournaments, provide lessons, and provide oversight of daily staff.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of golf professional operations, possess outstanding customer service skills and hold a PGA affiliation.

A high school diploma plus one (1) to three (3) years relevant work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities is required.

Certification required include a Valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurability under the Municipality’s vehicle insurance policy. A PGA affiliation is preferred.

Starting Salary Range of $31,017.79 to $40,437.70 annually based upon previous experience. The City of Groveport offers an outstanding benefits package.

The successful candidate must be able to pass a background (BCI and FBI) pre-employment drug screening, possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the Municipal vehicle insurance policy.
